Accessibility statement

Capstone Quest Academy wants every family to be able to use this website — including parents and caregivers who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, enlarge the text, or rely on captions.

We built accessibility into this site rather than adding it on. That includes an accessibility panel you can open from the top of any page, with controls for text size, higher contrast, underlined links, a plainer typeface, and reduced motion. Your choices are saved on your own device and are applied before the page appears.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at Level AA. These are the internationally recognized guidelines for making web content usable by people with disabilities, and they are the standard most commonly applied in the United States.

This site was audited against WCAG 2.2 Level AA on September 16, 2026, and re-tested after the fixes were made, using automated testing and a manual, page-by-page review.

The audit found the site in good condition. It identified six items for improvement, none of which prevented anyone from finding our programs, understanding our tuition, or requesting a tour. Automated testing now reports no issues on any page, in either language.

The site partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA: most of it meets the standard, and the exceptions we know about are listed below.

We will re-audit the site at least once a year, and after any significant change.

We would rather tell you than have you find out.

The September 16 audit identified six items. On re-testing, three were corrected: content landing beneath the page header when you move through a page or follow a link, the Spanish and English switch not being marked as foreign-language text, and the structure of the homepage regions. Two were found to work correctly already: the way screen readers announce our school name, and the keyboard focus outline on dark buttons.

One item from the audit remains open, along with four other limitations we know about:

• We are reviewing the colors of the lettering of our name on the homepage. They meet the required contrast at the size shown, but with little margin.
• Our downloadable Parent Handbook PDF has not been fully checked for accessibility. The handbook is also published on this site as a web page, and that version is accessible.
• Our enrollment packet is a scanned PDF, so a screen reader cannot read it and it cannot be filled in on screen. If you need it in another format, or help completing it, contact your site and we will go through it with you by phone or in person.
• Tour booking on our Schedule a tour page is provided by Cal.com. That part of the page is built by them, not by us, and it is only in English. If it does not work for you, call your site and we will book the tour with you.
• Some documents on our Parent resources page — the student handbook, wellness policy, meal menus and supply list — are published by AmeriSchools Academy, not by us, and may not be fully accessible. We will provide any of them in another format on request.

• This statement applies to the website at capstonequestacademy.com, in English and Spanish.
• The site does not use a third-party accessibility overlay. Accessibility features are built into the site itself.
• Typefaces are served from our own site rather than a third party.
